The MIB promotes interdisciplinary, challenge-oriented bioscience and biotechnology at the highest international level. We train interdisciplinary investigators in key skills to enable them to work successfully across the disciplinary interfaces to biology.

Postgraduate research opportunities

In partnership with the University's Schools, we offer a four year integrated programme of taught modules and research leading to the award of PhD in the challenging area of Systems Biology, as well as individual studentships.

The MIB has been specifically designed to foster a scientific culture in which there are no barriers between the disciplines, thus ensuring that the widest possible range of expertise and techniques can be brought to bear on quantitative bioscience problems.
